New Art Template Editor

The new Art Template Editor is now available in Eye.Photo, giving studios a dedicated way to create their own reusable art templates directly inside the platform.

Turn your Photoshop file into an interactive template, or duplicate one of our existing Eye.Photo template and customize it into something that fits your studio's style, products, events, or wall art collections.

Templates created with the Art Template Editor are custom and private to your studio. Only the studio that created a template can see and use it, so your designs stay separate from the shared Eye.Photo template library and from other studios.

Why it matters

The Art Template Editor turns template creation into a studio workflow. You can prepare branded layouts, experiment with new visual styles, create reusable wall art designs, and keep your own template library private to your team.

Learn the workflow

The video above walks through creating a custom art template step by step, including how to use an existing Eye.Photo template as a starting point for your own variation.

It's available to everyone directly in Art Editor

AI Magic Eraser

AI Magic Eraser is now available in the photo editor, giving your team a faster way to clean up iris photos without leaving Eye.photo.

Draw a mask over the area you want to fix, then let Eye.photo rebuild the selected detail with AI. It is designed for small distractions, edge cleanups, dust, eyelashes, reflections, and other marks that slow down final editing.

Where to find it

Open a photo in the Photo Editor and click AI Magic Eraser from the editor tools.

Inside the Magic Eraser modal, the how-to video is available at the bottom of the right-side menu, so you can watch the workflow while you are editing.

What you can do now

  • Brush a mask over the exact area you want to remove and adjust the brush size for small or larger repairs.
  • Run AI Magic Eraser on the current edited image, so the result matches the version you are actually working on.
  • Use Rotate & Blend to rotate nearby iris texture into a masked area and apply it as a controlled repair.
  • Compare Original, Edited, and Mask views before saving the result.
  • Undo, redo, clear, cancel, or save and close from the same fullscreen editing modal.
  • Keep transparent edges and fitted renders consistent when Magic Eraser creates the repaired image.

Why it matters

Iris cleanup often requires small, careful fixes. AI Magic Eraser keeps that work inside Eye.photo, reduces round trips to external editors, and gives teams a focused way to remove distractions while preserving the natural iris texture.

Event Art Automation

Event art automation is now available for photo events, helping you move from a finished eye enhancement to ready-to-use artwork all automatically.

When this option is enabled for an event, Eye.photo can create the event artwork in the background after an event photo finishes enhancing. That keeps the event workflow moving while the team continues capturing and processing photos.

Where to find it

Open an event, go to the Art tab, then open Setup art template and art automations.

Choose the event template and enable Automatically create art when enhancement finishes.

What you can do now

  • Select the default event art template for the event.
  • Automatically create artwork after an event photo enhancement completes.
  • Keep art generation running in the background while the team continues with the event workflow.
  • See whether event artwork was created automatically or manually in the event art list.
  • Use one-eye templates for automatic event art generation.

Why it matters

Events are fastest when each finished eye photo can move straight toward artwork without another repetitive step. Event art automation helps reduce manual clicks, keeps production consistent, and makes it easier to deliver finished event art while the session is still active.

Dashboard PDF Reports

You can now create a printable dashboard report from your studio dashboard and save it as a PDF.

The report uses the same dashboard data your team already relies on, but lets you choose exactly which sections to include before opening a print-ready report page.

Where to find it

Open the Dashboard and click Download report near the date filter.

What you can do now

  • Choose summary cards such as photos, product revenue, money saved, and new customers.
  • Include charts for photos, hours saved, customers, art, and products sold.
  • Add lists such as top art templates, top products, and editor performance when available.
  • Open a print-styled report in a new tab.
  • Save the report as a PDF from the browser print window.

Why it matters

Dashboard reports make it easier to share studio performance with owners, managers, and team members without manually copying numbers from the dashboard. Pick the sections that matter, generate the report, and save a clean PDF for review or record keeping.

User Permissions

Studio owners can now create User groups to control what individual team members are allowed to do in Eye.photo.

Instead of every studio user having the same access, you can create named permission sets for different responsibilities: editors, assistants, sales staff, event teams, or any workflow your studio uses.

Where to find it

Open Users → Roles & Permissions here: eye.photo/users?tab=roles_and_permissions.

Create a new group directly here: eye.photo/user_groups/new.

What you can do now

  • Create named groups with a clear description for your team.
  • Choose the permissions each group should have.
  • Assign a group to a studio user when inviting or editing a team member.
  • Preview allowed and restricted permissions before saving a user.
  • Set a default group for new invites.

Why it matters

Studio teams often need different levels of access. A photo editor may need to upload photos and create art, while another teammate may only need limited day-to-day tools. User groups let studio owners keep access focused without giving everyone full studio-user permissions.

Groups can only limit what the base Studio user role already allows, so they are designed to reduce access safely rather than grant extra owner-level control.

Product Categories

Product Categories are now available, making it easier to organize the products your studio offers and faster to find the right item when adding products to a photo.

Where to find it

Manage products here: eye.photo/products_setting?tab=products.

Manage categories directly here: eye.photo/products_setting/categories.

What changed

  • Create product categories such as frames, jewelry, keychains, or any grouping that fits your studio.
  • Assign products to categories from the product form.
  • Filter the products list by category in Product Settings.
  • Reorder categories so the most useful groups appear first.
  • Pick a category first when adding products to a photo, then choose from the products in that group.

Why it matters

As studios add more products, one long product list becomes harder to scan. Categories keep the setup page cleaner and make day-to-day product selection faster for the team.

Manage Art Templates

You can now manage how art templates appear for your studio: give templates clearer names and hide the ones you do not want to use in the art editor.

Where to find it

Open the Templates tab in Art Settings: eye.photo/art_settings?tab=templates.

What changed

  • Rename templates for your studio, without changing the original template for everyone else.
  • Hide templates you do not want to show in the art editor.
  • Bring hidden templates back anytime from the same Templates tab.
  • Filter templates by eye count, visibility, and favorites so large template libraries are easier to manage.

Why it matters

Studios often work with different product lines, languages, and sales workflows. Template management lets each studio keep the art editor focused on the designs they actually offer, with names that make sense for their team.

Feature Requests

We added a new Feature Requests space so your team can help shape what Eye.photo builds next.

Instead of ideas getting lost in chats or support threads, you can now collect them in one place, see what other studios care about, and follow along as requests move forward.

Where to find it

Open Feature Requests directly here: eye.photo/feature-requests.

You can also find it from the home screen on the right side, where it appears with the other quick-access items.

What you can do now

  • Submit feature ideas with a clear title, markdown description, and optional image attachments.
  • Vote on requests so the most useful ideas rise to the top.
  • Join the discussion with comments and follow-up context.
  • Follow requests you create, comment on, or care about manually.
  • Track your own ideas from the new My Feature Requests page.
  • Receive email updates when requests get comments, status changes, official admin updates, or completion notices.

Why it matters

Eye.photo is used by studios with different workflows, products, and customer journeys. Feature Requests gives you a direct way to show us where the platform should improve, while giving everyone more visibility into what is being considered, worked on, and completed.

We also improved request previews so markdown descriptions stay readable in cards and admin rows, and added admin tooling to keep requests tidy as feedback evolves.
